I have assigned the role of kaganu to the left foot to be played on a hi-hat. While the hi-hat does not sound like the high pitched drum, kaganu, it is sufficient for the purpose of getting familiar with this rhythm. If playing this kaganu rhythm with your left foot is difficult, then try using your left hand on the snare drum. This will probably be easier, and familiarizing your two hands with this polyrhythm will help to coordinate the left foot with the right hand later on.
